By using SnackArcade you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site. They are written in plain English on purpose.
1. What this site is
SnackArcade provides free browser-based games together with written guides. No account is required and no payment is taken. The service is provided on an “as is” basis and may change, pause or end at any time without notice.
2. Acceptable use
You may play the games, read the guides and link to any page here.
You may not: attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its servers; scrape the site in bulk in a way that degrades service for other visitors; republish substantial portions of our written guides as your own; reverse-engineer or repackage hosted game bundles other than as their original licences permit; use the site for anything unlawful; or attempt to interfere with, obscure or artificially interact with advertising shown on the site.
Automated access is tolerated only when it respects robots.txt and uses a reasonable request rate.
3. Intellectual property
Our content. The written guides, category introductions, tips, FAQs, page structure and site design are original work and belong to SnackArcade. You may quote a short passage with a link back to the page it came from. You may not copy pages wholesale onto another site.
The games. Games are the property of their respective developers. Games hosted directly on this site are redistributed under open-source licences that permit it, and each game page names the developer, the licence and links to the original source. Games served through partner platforms are licensed through those platforms and remain the property of their owners.
Nothing on this site should be read as a claim of ownership over any third-party game, trademark or brand. Where a game is a community remake inspired by a commercial title, it is listed under a name that does not use the original trademark, and it is not presented as an official release.
4. Third-party games — where our responsibility ends
Games are created by third parties. We test each game before listing it, but we do not control its code and cannot guarantee it will be free of bugs, will behave identically in every browser, or will remain available. Where a game is embedded from a partner platform, it is delivered by that platform and subject to that platform’s own terms.
Progress and scores are stored by the game in your own browser. We have no copy of them and cannot restore anything you lose by clearing your browser data or changing device.
5. Advertising
The site is funded by display advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third-party networks and their content is not selected, endorsed or verified by us. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and them. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.
6. Links to other sites
Game pages link out to developer repositories, licence texts and partner platforms. We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of any external site.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnackArcade and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the site — even if advised such damages were possible. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD 100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions of liability. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify SnackArcade against any claim arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.
10. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, follow the process on our DMCA / Copyright page. Verified claims are actioned promptly.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The “last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
